Meet Dr. Jon Hullings

A beautiful smile warms a room and brings people together. It’s a calling card to the world. Dr. Jon Hullings is passionate about orthodontics, believing that it is an art and a science, comprised of one-on-one individualized care and an eye for detail. It is about much more than straightening teeth. Proper fit and function will help ensure the long-term health, as well as the beauty, of a smile.

As an orthodontic specialist for more than 28 years, Dr. Hullings has the advanced training and special skills required to manage tooth movement and guide facial development. He is dedicated to providing excellent orthodontic treatment through quality service and technical expertise.

A Wichita native, Dr. Hullings received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. He graduated with honors from UMKC Dental School in 1987 and earned a Master of Science in orthodontics from the University of Tennessee in 1989. Dr. Hullings is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction merited by only 30% of all orthodontists.

Dr. Hullings’s professional memberships include the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Kansas Dental Association. He is also a past president of the Wichita District Dental Society. He attends continuing education meetings all around the country and participates in a regional study club that is composed of general practitioners and orthodontists. His goal is to provide the best care for his patients through updated knowledge and technology.

Dr. Hullings was named by his colleagues as one of Wichita’s Top Dentists in a survey conducted by The Wichita Register magazine.

Dr. Hullings and his wife Carrie have been married for nearly three decades and have three sons, all of whom have attended or are attending the University of Kansas. Matthew lives in Dallas, Texas; Daniel will be graduating in May 2018; and Patrick is currently a junior.  Dr. Hullings and his family welcomed a new fur baby, Phog Allen to their family in early December. He is a Bordoodle — a cross between Border collie and poodle — and couldn’t be more excited. Be on the lookout for pictures and a possible visit to the office from the new family member!

Dr. Hullings and his family love to travel! Each summer they take a trip to Colorado and go hiking, fishing, and relaxing. He really enjoys reading. His favorite types of books vary: when it comes to fiction, he is all about mysteries, thrillers, or espionage. Dr. Hullings is also very passionate about his health and always makes time to work out a few times a week, which makes up for his love of ice cream!
